Gurans Hydro Project:

The Sankhuwa Khola Hydropower project is a run-of-the- river (RoR) type Hydropower project located in Sankhuwasabha and Bhojpur district of Nepal.The proposed project utilizes a design flow of 15.250 m3/s from the headworks located immediately downstream of Sankhuwa and Sisuwa river at budhbare, conveying the discharge through a total of conveyance Length of 6558m consisting Box culverts, a headrace tunnel, a penstock and a tailrace culvert over a gross head of 315.92m for producing 244.745GWh of saleable energy with an installed capacity of 41.06MW by the power house Located at Bumlingtar and conveying the discharge to the Arun River through 3.398km (4 km max) lone 132 KV single circuit transmission line.

Both the headworks and powerhouse sites are linked all year-round roads. The project is also lined with road networks from Tumlingtar airport. All the project components are located along the right bank of Sankhuwa river.Most of the surface structures such as headworks, box culverts, sediment handling structure, penstock, powerhouse and tailrace culvert lies on alluvial/colluvial deposits. SKHPP is locted in Silichong Rural Municipality(ward no 1)in Sankhuwasabha District and Salpachilichho Rural Municipality(Ward no 1) in Bhojpur District of Nepal.The proposed project lies between 87°05'00" E to 87°8'30"E and 27°25'40" N to 27°28'39" N.The headwork is located at ward no. 1 of Silichong Rural Municipality in Sankhuwasabha District about 100m downstream from the Sankhuwa Sisuwa confluence at Budhbare.The powerhouse is located at Ward no. 1 of Salpachilichho Rural Muncipality in Bhojpur District about 900m downstream existing suspension bridge above Arun River.
